Thinking about a group session?

If you have a group of friends that you think would all benefit from a coaching session, I'm happy to discuss how I can help, either in person or virtually.

I have a range of venues and course topics that I can cover – or I can come to your home for a group session –depending on the size and needs of the group. Get in touch to find out more.

How long will sleep coaching take?

Every family is different, and the time frame depends on multiple factors including the age and developmental stage of your child along with previous sleep habits.

On average, it takes around two-three weeks for a child to fully learn new behaviour patterns but some parents will start to see results much sooner than that.

There are many ‘methods’ of sleep coaching, and it’s fair to say that there is no ‘one size fits all’ strategy.

I use a hybrid approach depending on what I think will work best for your family’s needs, which is based off of the information that you give me throughout our time together, as well as my extensive experience with babies and children.

Can I still breastfeed or co-sleep alongside sleep coaching?

As a neonatal and paediatric nurse of almost 20 years and a lactation consultant, I completely understand both the physical and mental health benefits of breastfeeding and co-sleeping, as well as the emotional aspects of the mother-infant dyad within the wider family unit.

Our journey together will actively support breastfeeding if this is how you are feeding your child.

As a health professional, I will also provide you with the latest research and practices on safe sleep, and I have helped many parents sleep coach their little one whilst co-sleeping or in floor beds.

When is the best time to start sleep coaching my child?

From a developmental perspective, babies can be sleep trained from around 5 months. Some babies are ready from around 4.5 months. You can however start laying the foundations of good sleep habits from birth. It is never too early (or too late!) to help your child learn the skill of independent sleep. If you would like to discuss further when to start sleep coaching, please book in a discovery call with me.

Do you use the 'cry it out' method?

No, I do not use the 'cry it out' method. If this is an approach you'd like to use I can signpost you to some resources which you might find useful.
