Twenty years in the room.

I'm Lisa Adair — IBCLC, paediatric sleep consultant, and a registered NICU nurse of two decades. Lullabies is the practice I built so families in Dubai can get the kind of clinical, judgement-free support I spent twenty years giving on the ward.

From the ward to the living room.

How a NICU nurse from the UK ended up running a paediatric practice out of Umm Suqeim.

I trained as a paediatric nurse in the UK over twenty years ago and spent most of my career in NICU — caring for the tiniest, most vulnerable babies and walking alongside their families through the hardest weeks of their lives.

That work shaped everything about how I practise now. It gave me the clinical knowledge, but more importantly it taught me to listen — to really listen — to the parent in front of me, and to separate what the baby is doing from what the internet says babies should be doing.

When we moved to Dubai I saw how many families were getting through the early years without the support network they might have had back home. Grandparents on the other side of the world. Friends still figuring it out themselves. Conflicting advice from every direction, and no one to call at 2am.

Lullabies is what came after. Certified as an IBCLC, certified again as a paediatric sleep consultant, and built as a practice that treats sleep and feeding as the same conversation — because they are. No cry-it-out. No scarcity tactics. Real answers in real sentences.

Sleep and feeding aren't separate problems. They're the same conversation — and the answer is almost never the routine everyone is selling you.

The boring, important bit.

Anyone can call themselves a sleep coach. Here's the actual paper trail — registration numbers and all.

IBCLC

International Board Certified Lactation Consultant · #L-314181.

Registered Paediatric Nurse

UK NMC registered. Two decades on the wards — most of them in NICU.

DHA licensed nurse

Dubai Health Authority licensed nurse — home-visit consultations across the Emirates.

Certified Paediatric Sleep Consultant

Trained in responsive, evidence-based sleep work. No cry-it-out, ever.

Further training
  • Postgraduate modules in neonatal care
  • Postgraduate certificate in global health & wellbeing
  • Advanced gentle sleep coaching
  • Reflux, allergy & CMPA specialist
  • Understanding mental health
  • Postnatal depression support
  • Birth trauma & PTSD
  • Certified Infant Massage Instructor (IAIM)
  • Starting Solids Facilitator
  • Paediatric First Aid Awareness Instructor
  • Highfield International Award in First Aid
  • NHS-qualified in mentorship & facilitating learning
  • Highfield International Award in Delivering Training

Four things that don't change.

No cry-it-out, ever

Responsive settling only. The science on extinction methods is contested — I won't use them with your baby.

Your family, your plan

Co-sleeping, room-sharing, bottle, breast — what you do is the starting point, not something to undo.

Sleep and feeding together

Most “sleep problems” between 0–6 months are feeding patterns. After 9 months, most “feeding problems” are sleep. I look at both.

Evidence, not Instagram

I cite the data when I make a recommendation. If the science is contested, I tell you so.

As a first-time mum, I was really struggling with breastfeeding in the first days after giving birth and was feeling overwhelmed, emotional, and unsure if my baby was getting enough milk. Lisa came to our home and was nothing short of incredible. She is exceptionally knowledgeable, patient, and reassuring. She took the time to assess our situation, explain everything clearly, and most importantly, she helped my baby latch and feed successfully when we had been struggling. The relief and confidence she gave me in just one visit were priceless. Beyond her expertise, Lisa has such a positive and caring presence that immediately puts you at ease during what can be a very vulnerable time. I left the session feeling empowered, supported, and much more confident in my breastfeeding journey. I truly cannot recommend Lisa highly enough. She was an absolute lifesaver for our family, and I am so grateful for her help. Thank you, Lisa! ❤️👶🏼🥛

My husband and I attended Lisa's antenatal classes and I attended her baby massage sessions. The antenatal classes were incredibly informative, practical, and reassuring— they really helped in making us a feel a little more prepared and confident ahead of our son’s arrival. They were also a great way of meeting other parents to be. The baby massage classes were equally lovely and a great opportunity to get out and meet other babies and parents. Lisa has been an invaluable support to us particularly in the early days of breastfeeding and later on with tips and guidance on sleep. Lisa is super knowledgeable and her advice has been invaluable and always delivered with such warmth and understanding. I can’t recommend Lisa enough!

Lisa is absolutely amazing and I am so thankful to her. I struggled to breastfeed my first child and didn’t click with the hospital lactation specialist and then eventually gave up trying. When I fell pregnant with my second child, I reached out to Lisa before he arrived hopeful that she’d be able to help. She went above and beyond before he even arrived and sent me tons of useful guides to read through. When he arrived, she came over to my house and spent three hours with me making sure we nailed the latch and built my confidence up. I can’t thank her enough for all her help!!

The first aid awareness class that my nanny and I took with Lisa was incredibly helpful. It served both as a great refresher on first aid across all ages and as a real confidence booster as I begin the journey of starting solids as a first-time mom. All of our questions were answered thoroughly, and at no point did anything feel rushed. Bonus points to the venue for providing a well-equipped play area and a nanny to help keep the little ones happily occupied throughout the session. Would definitely recommend.

I cannot thank Lisa enough for her support and guidance with breast feeding my baby. After a rocky start and having to exclusively pump she got my baby back on the breast during a home session. Her calm and nonjudgmental attitude put me at ease right away, and I cannot reccomend her enough. My only regret is that I didn’t have her visit sooner!

We attended Lisa’s antenatal classes and they were brilliant! Lisa, Nikki and Sara are all so knowledgable and approachable. The classes really helped us feel empowered during the birth of our baby and made us feel confident after baby’s arrival. Lisa has also been so kind and supportive during my breastfeeding journey, she has shared knowledge and tips that have made such a difference - and at a time when I really needed the guidance and support. She’s a pro and so lovely too! Edit: We recently joined Lisa and Nikki’s baby/child health & and safety, and baby weaning course. It very informative and made me feel so much more confident in introducing solids and new foods to my baby. Highly recommend!

I cannot thank Lisa enough for the incredible support she provided during one of the most challenging times as a new mum. My baby was struggling to latch, and I was feeling overwhelmed and defeated. Lisa listened without judgment, took the time to understand what was happening, and guided me through techniques which gave me the confidence I needed. Within days, my baby was latching beautifully. I am so grateful for her encouragement and expertise. I would highly recommend Lisa to any new parent needing lactation support.

I called Lisa in a moment of urgency, and she showed up within the hour — something I’ll never forget. From the moment she arrived, she brought a calm, reassuring presence that immediately put me at ease. She’s clearly incredibly experienced, but what stood out most was how warm, kind, and supportive she was. Lisa made a very emotional situation feel manageable. I’m so grateful for your help — you truly went above and beyond!! Thank you

Myself and my husband took part in the Birth and Beyond course and were really impressed with how informative and practical the sessions were. Both Nikki and Lisa were so knowledgeable and open to answering an array of questions from the group. We all felt supported during the course but also beyond with the WhatsApp group and being able to reach out to them both if we needed to. Lisa was really accommodating with my husbands accessibility needs and ensured we were comfortable at all times. We’ve made some great friends from attending the course and would definitely recommend to first time parents. Emily & Liam

Lisa is definitely one of the most knowledgeable and caring experts I have encountered. She is someone I would 100% trust when it comes to advice on my baby. We did the 5-week baby massage course, but I picked up more than massage techniques during this time. She advices on breastfeeding, weaning, sleep, and basically any question you might have. She genuinely cares not only for the baby, but also for mama. I wish I had met her earlier, during pregnancy, as she also does antenatal classes. If you’re a mama in Dubai needing support, Lisa is your person!

Excellent experience working with Lisa. We saw incredible improvement in sleep and schedule for our twins within 2 weeks that we were not able to achieve in 18 months on our own. Would highly recommend

I had a conversation with Lisa about the sleep of our baby boy and was struck by her expertise and kindness. There was a sense of genuine passion and care coming through in every statement of hers in the conversation and it made for a very encouraging and constructive session. In a field where there are too many opinions and not enough facts, she navigated our situation, the knowledge and what would be possible and practical for us. I warmly recommend anyone with baby sleep challenges to talk to Lisa.

Lisa has been my rock throughout the process of gentle sleep training. My twins were 4.5 months old when I met her and she has been a fountain of knowledge. She is extremely knowledgable, having been a paediatric NICU nurse I totally trusted her given my twins were preemies. Her approach to all things sleep has been amazing. She’s extremely patient and worked with me through their different phases (teething, regression, illness etc.) and was always very supportive and reassuring. She has been more than a sleep consultant, a great support system for us parents as well. She literally has answers to everything. She’s excellent and I highly recommend her. Over support package has been long over but she’s still always a message away when Im stuck or the twins are struggling. Every parent of littles needs Lisa in their life.

Where do I begin… Thank you just doesn’t cut it! I had the best experience with Lisa, I approached Lisa after a friend recommended her to me (was a bit nervous and apprehensive) but she swooped in with her warm and reassuring ways that put you right at ease and told me we can make this work! And we did 😊 Lisa offered us a gentle way to sleep train my baby that suited our parenting style much better than to just ‘leave her to cry it out, regardless’. It’s true that every baby is different, but also every parent is different and Lisa is extremely accommodating to this. She gives you a choice of different methods to sleep train and you choose which suits you most. My baby (who was 13 months old), was sleeping through the night peacefully by three days into the training!!! We were delighted… it had been a rough 13 months!!! Lisa is extremely knowledgeable with all things baby and healthcare, thanks to her nursing background and has continued to be a source of help and savior ever since the sleep training. I highly recommend Lisa for multiple reasons, you get much more from her than what you pay for and I will forever be grateful that I plucked up the courage to message her that day. THANK YOU LISA, for all you do 😇🙏🏻
