Starting solids & first aid awareness.
a relaxed private session in your own home.
A relaxed two-and-a-half-hour private session, in your home, for up to four parents or carers — starting solids (readiness signs, baby-led versus spoon-fed, allergens, choking versus gagging) plus hands-on paediatric first aid awareness (infant and child CPR, choking response, burns and head bumps). Booked when you're ready, not to a fixed date.
Start solids without the second-guessing.Three families I see most.
Each starts in a different place. Most of you will see yourself in one of them — but the course is built to flex around whichever you are.
You're about to start solids.
You want a confident plan rather than a stack of Instagram screenshots.
You've started and it's not flowing.
Fussiness, gagging, low intake — we'll troubleshoot what's happening, in your own kitchen.
How this actually works.
From the moment you pay until you're sleeping through. Most of the work happens in your own home, with Lisa in your pocket.

Leave with a plan
AfterA weaning workbook and a first aid quick-reference card, so you start solids — and handle emergencies — without the second-guessing.
What you'll actually be able to do.
Recognise the real readiness signs for solids (and the misleading ones).
Choose a weaning approach — purée, baby-led, or both — that fits your family.
Tell the difference between gagging and choking.
Introduce allergens safely and at the right time.
Build a sensible first two-week food plan.
Respond to infant and child choking — back blows, chest thrusts, abdominal thrusts.
Perform infant and child CPR.
Recognise a febrile convulsion and know when it needs an ambulance.
Manage burns, head bumps, and allergic reactions in the moment.

Absolutely.
Check with Lisa beforehand — she can assess readiness and, where she's happy, even give baby their first solids with her.
It's an awareness session with a certificate of attendance, not an EFR/EFAW workplace qualification. Ask about our longer accredited day if you need that.
